Restorative Justice is an alternative philosophy to criminal justice that recognizes first and foremost the harm done. It is based on principles healing and accountability. It is practiced most often through dialogue involving the people involved in causing the harm (offenders), the people directly harmed (victims and survivors), and people who represent those who are indirectly affected (community members.)
